IV Guardian is a new device intended to assist in the patency of intravascular (IV) therapy devices for fluid delivery. The device may not contact skin directly, but will be applied over the top of the transparent dressing utilized to secure the IV catheter. IV Guardian is intended to improve patency of IVs placed in antecubital or wrist locations but can be used in any location where IV access is required. IV Guardian can also protect the IV site and prevent malfunction.
